8 AM until noon Sunday, Nov. 4 at Citizen’s Bank Park in PhiladelphiaJoin the Penn Medicine community, American Heart Association (AHA) and people of all ages from the Philadelphia area at the 2012 Philadelphia Heart Walk and support the fight against heart disease and stroke!
The Philly Heart Walk is part of a collaborative, nationwide event to raise awareness and funds to support the AHA's mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Thousands of people from around the area are expected to join the event on Sunday, Nov. 4 at Citizen’s Bank Park.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. Your participation and fundraising efforts in the Philly Heart Walk directly supports Penn Medicine and the AHA in their goal of improving the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent by 2020. Research efforts like those underwritten by the Philly Heart Walk make great strides in decreasing the burden heart disease and stroke place on families and health care resources.
